  • GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) course has been developed in response to the demand for recognizable safety training in the wind industry, and has been prepared based on risk assessments and factual incident and accident statistics pertaining to the installation, service and maintenance of wind turbine generators and wind power plants.
 
  • GWO BST course is aimed at personnel who will be working in the wind industry or related fields and will have their duties in a wind turbine environment, usually in physical contact with a wind turbine or an offshore wind structure.
 
  • GWO BST course will enable participants to support and care for themselves and others working in the industry by possessing the knowledge and skills of first aid, working at heights, manual handling, fire awareness, sea survival and in case of emergency, to be able to evacuate, rescue and provide appropriate first aid to casulties.

GWO Manual Handling

Module: GWO Manual Handling The Manual Handling Module shall ensure that: Problem-solving approach to Manual Handling in a wind turbine environment. Demonstrate Manual Handling risk

GWO First Aid

Module: GWO First Aid Objectives: The participant learns basic first aid principles of ERC and AHA`s guidelines / American Heart Association (AHA) and European Resuscitation

GWO Sea Survival

Module: GWO Sea Survival The training objectives are as follows: The participant can demonstrate knowledge of the dangers and symptoms related to hyperthermia and drowning.

GWO Working at Heights

Module: GWO Working at Heights Objectives: The participant can demonstrate knowledge of the hazards and risks associated with working at heights, specifically for wind turbine

GWO Fire Awareness

Module: GWO Fire Awareness Objectives: The participant becomes aware of the danger of fire spreading in a wind turbine. The participant learns what causes fires
